President Vučić received the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan


The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamil Khasiyev today, and wished him a successful diplomatic mandate in Belgrade.

President Vučić said that Serbia attaches special importance to the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan, and that in the coming period we need to work together to strengthen economic and all other forms of cooperation. He pointed out that the upcoming visit of President Aliyev will give a new dimension to our cooperation and, on that occasion, sent cordial greetings to President Aliyev.

President Vučić expressed special satisfaction that Serbia, together with Azerbaijan, as the chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, is organizing the celebration of an important jubilee in Belgrade – the 60th anniversary of the founding of the NAM. He also said that the two countries are connected by the commitment to firm respect for international law, and in that regard, he expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

Ambassador Khasiyev conveyed President Aliyev's greetings and said the agreements, which will be signed during the upcoming visit, will provide greater opportunities for co-operation.
