On July 20, in one of the ancient cities of Azerbaijan, 380 km northwest of Baku, - Sheki, wrapped up the second International Festival of National Sweets. Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan brought together pastry chefs from 12 countries along with confectioners from 21 regions of Azerbaijan. The festival had been organized by the Sheki City Executive Power  and the Azerbaijan National Culinary Association. Pastry chefs from Turkey, Russia, France, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Northern Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Korea and Indonesia demonstrated their works. The festival concluded with a program of performances by various music and dance groups. By the support of the Serbian Culinary Association, Serbia was represented by Marko Petrovic and his wife Elena M.Petrovic Bickova, Danilo Curovic, members of the Serbian diaspora, employed in the elite culinary institutions Baku. Pastry chefs of the Serbian diaspora took the Second place (shared it with Russia), which is a great success.
The stand of Serbia, marked with our national flag, attracted much attention of the visitors of the festival. Festival was also attended by Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Serbian Embassy in Baku Milorad Crevar and his wife Slavica Crevar.
