The opening ceremony of the exhibition was held on 1st  October 2013 in Heydar Aliyev Center. The exhibition exposed paintings as well as tapestry, created by the famous artist in different years. Some of these paintings include such famous works by Salakhov as portraits of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, Gara Garayev, Shostakovich, Mstislav Rostropovich, “Aidan”, “Morning. Absheron”, “Koroglu”, Absheron triptych – “Ateshgah”, “The Caspian Sea today”, “Maiden Tower”, and other paintings. The opening ceremony of the exhibitions attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov and other high government officials and members of diplomatic corps.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Baku H.E. Mr. Zoran Vajovic and Counsellor of the Embassy Mr. Milanko Bajceta participated the opening ceremony of exhibition.
