President Tomislav Nikolic visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Ambassador of Serbia Zoran Vajovic briefed the President on the activity of the Embassy.
The President was told that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia started in 1991-1992. Diplomatic ties between the two countries were established in 1997. Azerbaijan opened its Embassy in Belgrade in March 2010, while Serbia in Baku in February 2011. The opening of embassies in Baku and Belgrade contributed to development of relationship between Azerbaijan and Serbia. The two countries support each other on the international scene. The visit of President Nikolic to Azerbaijan will give impetus to boosting relationship between the two countries.
